FAITA Sardegna

A website for Sardinia’s tourism

Project

Basic infos

The Client

FAITA Federcamping Sardegna is the federation that unites a good part of the operators of the tourist accommodation sector on the island. It also acts as a reference for tourists-campers and presents them with various villages and campsites to visit.

The Objective

FAITA Sardinia had requested a restyle of their website, which was somewhat dated and neglected. One of their needs was that the site could become a showcase illustrating Sardinian culture and be useful for tourists to discover their beautiful region.

Project

Conclusions

The website makeover for FAITA Federcamping Sardegna has been a pleasant experience. I created a new modern and functional design that best represented Sardinian culture and offered useful information to tourists with cleaner site navigation. I am proud of the achievement and believe the new site could benefit to the promotion of tourism in Sardinia.
Unfortunately, the collaboration with the communication agency through which I had created the design for the FAITA site came to an end before the actual implementation of the site, but I was made aware by those in charge that the Sardinian Federation had greatly appreciated my design.

A guide to booking

One of FAITA’s activities is to allow tourists to book a campsite and organize their summer, as this is one of the primary functions of the company but not well displayed on the old site I thought of creating a section to guide the user in that direction.

Content and actuality for SEO

On the old FAITA site, the blog and events sections had been abandoned for years. Therefore, I strongly suggested the improvement of sections with Sardinia’s most important events and a blog, both to be kept up-to-date, for the purpose of improving the site’s SEO score and increasing the number of visits.

Other projecs

The PrestiValore site had been hastily created and summarily modified in the following years by various parties, generating a suboptimal situation from the point of view of safety, health, and good maintenance of the site.
In SG Preziosi’s previous site, the pages were poorly organized and with a not structured user flow , thereby creating confusion in the users who visited it. We therefore proposed a restyle of such.
